Kaori Nazuka to attend ANEMONE: Eureka Seven: Hi - Evolution film screening

The schedule for Anime Expo is currently listing that the event will screen the Hakubo and ANEMONE: Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution anime films, and will also screen the world premiere of the ACTORS: Songs Connection television anime series as well as a premiere screening of the Hensuki: Are you willing to fall in love with a pervert, as long as she's a cutie? television anime series.

Yutaka Yamamoto's original anime project Hakubo (Twilight) will have its North American premiere at Anime Expo on July 6. The film opended in Japan on June 21. The film follows youths living in "the now and present" in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture after the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami of March 11, 2011.

Yamamoto (also known as Yamakan) himself is credited with the original work, script, direction, and sound direction. Sunao Chikaoka (Wake Up, Girls!) designed the characters and was also the chief animation director. Sōhei Kano (Fractale) composed the music, and Twilight Studio animated the film. Azuma Hitomi performed the film's theme song "Tooku" (Far).

Anime Expo will screen ANEMONE: Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution (Anemone: Kōkyōshihen Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution) with English subtitles on July 6 with voice actress Kaori Nazuka (voice of Eureka). Funimation had announced last October that it will screen the film in theaters in 2019.

The film opened in Japan on November 10. The film set in Tokyo, and centers on Anemone, a girl who lost her father in a battle in Toyko seven years prior to the film's story, leaving her with only her stuffed toy Gulliver, and the AI concierge Dominikids for emotional support. Now she is a key part of a strategy by the experimental unit "Acid" to combat the seventh Eureka, "Eureka Seven," an enemy of humanity that has killed 2.6 billion people. Driven to the brink, all of humanity entrusts its hope to Anemone as she dives deep into the interior of Eureka Seven.

The film is the second film in a planned Eureka Seven: Hi - Evolution film trilogy. The first film opened in Japan in September 2017, and the third film will open in Japan this year.

Kadokawa and Funimation are hosting the 18+ panel screening of the premiere of the Hensuki: Are you willing to fall in love with a pervert, as long as she's a cutie? anime on July 5. The anime adapts Tomo Hanama's Kawaikereba Hentai demo Suki ni Natte Kuremasuka? light novel series.

The story of the romantic comedy begins when a love letter arrives out of the blue for Keiki Kiryū, an ordinary high school student who has never had a girlfriend as long as he has been alive. The letter does not include the sender's name — but the letter does include white panties. In the process of investigating who could be his "Cinderella who left behind her panties," Keiki discovers every candidate is uniquely perverted and desperately interested in having him participate in their perversion.

The anime will premiere on AT-X on July 8, on Tokyo MX and MBS on July 9, and on BS11 on July 10. Funimation will debut a simulcast for the anime on July 8, with the simuldub debuting on July 22.

Anime Expo will screen the world premiere of ACTORS: Songs Connection on July 7. The anime is based on EXIT TUNES' ACTORS CD project. The anime will premiere in Japan this fall. The story of the franchise centers on the everyday lives of students and teachers at the Private Amaka Academy, a school established by the the large university town group Slive Central.

Osamu Yamasaki (Hakuoki series, Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East both seasons) is directing the anime. Yukio Nagasaki (Love Live! School idol project, Love Live! Sunshine!!, Land of the Lustrous) is the sound director, and Asako Nishida (Love Live! School idol project, Land of the Lustrous) is designing the characters based on Meka's original character designs. Drive is animating the series, and Exit Tunes is producing the music. Hideakira Kimura, Tomotaka Ōsumi, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi are composing the music.
