Rikiya Koyama, Aya Hisakawa Join Zetman TV Anime Cast

Mitsuo Senda, Shōzō Iizuka, Masashi Hirose, more join cast of Masakazu Katsura's hero action anime

The official website for the Zetman television anime series revealed more cast and staff for the series on Monday:

  • Mitsuo Senda as Gorou Kanzaki
  • Shozo Iizuka as Mitsugai Amagi
  • Masashi Hirose as Seizou Amagi
  • Takayuki Sugo as Inspector Sayama
  • Yuya Uchida as Black Suit A
  • Taiten Kusunoki as Black Suit B
  • Rikiya Koyama as Soujinin
  • Eiji Ito as Dr. Sugita
  • Naomi Kusumi as Mamoru Kabe
  • Aya Hisakawa as Yōko Suzuki

The website also revealed more staff for the series. Aside from Italian composer Gabriele Roberto (SPEC, Paco and the Magical Book), suble, Yasushi Sasamoto, Yu Yanaura, and Megumi Sasano are also working on the music for the series. Takeshi Takadera is handing the sound direction, and Toru Nakano is serving as sound producer.

The official website already announced in October that Daisuke Namikawa (Kimi ni Todoke, Hunter X Hunter) and Mamoru Miyano (Death Note, Chihayafuru) will play the main leads Jin Kanzaki and Kouga Amagi, respectively. Kana Hanazawa, Koji Yusa, Mariya Ise, Risa Hayamizu, Ayumi Fujimura, and Kenichi Suzumura are also joining the cast.

Masakazu Katsura is known for romance and comedy stories such as Video Girl Ai, DNA², and I''s, but he also created the decade-long Zetman hero action manga series in 2002. The story centers around Jin, a homeless boy whose true form is the new superhuman lifeform "ZET," and an industrial magnate's heir named Kouga with his own secret.

Osamu Nabeshima (D.Gray-man, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas) is directing the project at TMS Entertainment. Atsuhiro Tomioka (Inazuma Eleven, Samurai 7, Pokémon) is writing the scripts, and Hirotoshi Takaya (Eyeshield 21, Puppet Princess/Karakuri no Kimi, Project ARMS) is designing the characters.

The anime will premiere in April.
