I can't say I disagree at all with there review. At one moment I would find myself totally enjoying this show just to find myself saying "this sucks" out loud only a few seconds later.

For a far sadder reminder of what composer Kou Ootani is capable of, watch Haibane Renmei, or even Daphne in the Brilliant Blue, both of which display a musical sensitivity that puts to shame the blundering—if often quite effective—scoring on display here.

I just bought the sound track from CD Japan and got it through the mail a few days ago. Its defiantly not Kou Ootani worst OST but it just doesn't have that something that made me fall in love with some of his earlier works like Cyber formula, Gundam Wing, and Outlaw Star or some of his newer works like the two named in this review. If any one is a fan of him like I am and haven't heard his Shadow of the Colossus sound track then I highly recommend checking it out. Its like a combination of Haibane Renmei and Gundam Wing.

Listening to the Shadow of the Colossus OST right now. Very, very nice. Now I want to acquire a PS2 so I can play the game. Very Happy

Haven't seen the show yet but will because of Steve Blum. I've read people say actors like him and his buddy Crispin Freeman are what can make the dub cooler than the original Japanese (that is, dubs being better than subs). This guy is brilliant at what he does. Hell, I might rewatch Gurren Lagann again only (other than to watch the hot Yoko) because he was so good at making Leeron seem gay.
