The hosts of the Ghibliotheque podcast, Michael Leader and Jake Cunningham, will present two Satoshi Kon IMAX cinema screenings in November and December.
The BFI IMAX cinema in London, near Waterloo station, will screen Satoshi Kon's 2006 film Paprika (pictured right), at 8.15 p.m. on Wednesday November 8.
"From visionary director Satoshi Kon, this mind-bending animated sci-fi thriller journeys through the subconscious, as a terrorist steals an experimental device that allows the user to enter another person's dreams."
The BFI IMAX will also screen Kon's 2003 film Tokyo Godfathers (pictured left), at 6.30 p.m. on Thursday December 14.
Tokyo Godfathers is described on the BFI IMAX website as follows:
"Inspired by the Western story 3 Godfathers, Kon reimagines the tale on the grubby streets of Tokyo, with a trio of unhoused people finding a lost baby on Christmas Eve, prompting a crosstown caper as they try to track down the newborn's family and reflect on their place in the world."
