Rune Factory Producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto Launches New Game Studio
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Story of Seasons and Rune Factory producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto left his position as Executive Officer and Chief Creative Officer at Marvelous earlier this year to head the newly founded Marvelous subsidiary game development company HAKAMA as its Representative Director.
Marvelous established the company in January, but only opened a website and Twitter account for it on Tuesday.
HAKAMA's site currently lists the company as working on Inti Creates' new Dragon: Marked for Death game for the Switch. The site also lists two other as-yet unrevealed games.
Hashimoto previously worked as the producer on the Harvest Moon series, now known as Story of Seasons in the West. He also handled the original concept creation, planning, producing, and creative direction on Neverland's Rune Factory game series spinoff of Harvest Moon. The latest game in the Story of Seasons series, Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns (Bokujō Monogatari: Mitsu no Sato no Taisetsu na Tomodachi), shipped for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan in June 2016, and in North America in February 2017.
