Girls & Panzer Final Chapter Anime Project is 6-Part Theatrical Anime

The staff of the Girls und Panzer franchise announced at a stage event at the 20th Ōarai Anglerfish Festival in Ibaraki prefecture on Sunday that the Girls & Panzer Saishūshō (Girls & Panzer: The Final Chapter) anime project will be a six-part theatrical event anime. The first theatrical anime will premiere in December 2017. The cast of Anglerfish Team joined director Tsutomu Mizushima in his first appearance at the stage event on Sunday.
Bandai previously streamed a trailer for the project in September.
The Girls und Panzer der Film anime movie opened last November 21, and screenings will continue through November 21 of this year. The film shipped on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in Japan on May 27, and the release came with a new OVA that takes place after the events of the movie, as well as an episode of the "Akiyama Yukari no Sensha Kōza" (Yukari Akiyama's Tank Lecture) shorts.
Sentai Filmworks announced in September that it had licensed the film, and the company is collaborating with Eleven Arts to release the film theatrically in the United States on November 18 with an English dub.
