posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Stationery maker company Q-LiA announced on Wednesday that it will launch a crowdfunding campaign to fund a television anime of its Bananya banana cat mascot character. Q-LiA has not yet announced when the campaign will begin, or the television anime's premiere date. Q-LiA previewed the characters for the anime:
The backer rewards will include Bananya merchandise that will only be made available during the crowdfunding campaign, including: mugs, thank you messages, charms, postcards, tin badges, body pillows, photo clocks, blankets, hand and bath towels, the backer's name in the credits, and the backer's name in an episode end card.
Q-LiA launched the Bananya mascot character last year. Another Q-LiA mascot character, Shizuku-chan, previously received three television anime adaptations, including Pururun! Shizuku-chan in 2006, Pururun! Shizuku-chan Aha in 2007, and Picchipichi Shizuku-chan in 2012.
