Comedian Ayako Imoto Joins Team Skull in Pokémon Sun & Moon Commercial

Recent celebrity commercials for the Pokémon Sun & Moon games thus far all included athletes. New York Yankees pitcher Masahiro Tanaka, wrestler Saori Yoshida, and sprinter Usain Bolt adopted trainer personas and teamed up with a Pokémon. The latest commercial from Japan is shirking that trend by bringing in comedian Ayako Imoto. In the video, Imoto has joined Team Skull and is investigating an Alolan Exeggutor.
Ayako Imoto debuted on the Sekai no hate made itteQ variety program 10 years ago as a reoccurring "Rare Beast Hunter" that interacted with exotic wildlife. The persona usually dons a sailor uniform and thick, painted eyebrows.
