Device Puts Vocaloid 'Hologram' on Your Smartphone

Pony Canyon will debut a new holograph smartphone device featuring the Vocaloids Hatsune Miku and Kagamine Rin at the at Tokyo Science Museum's Hatsune Miku Magical Future 2015 exhibit next week. The Sumahoro device that utilizes two mirrors to create multi-layer holograms from a dedicated app.
The player's first release will be "Karakuri Pierrot" music video performed by Hatsune Miku and "Lost One no Gōkoku" by Kagamine Rin.
The player is compatible with iOS and Android smartphones that have at least a four inch screen and use iOS 7.x or Android4.2 or later.
The device will go on sale after the event on September 7 for 1,574 yen (US$13).
If it reflects light, fans will put Hatsune Miku on it. Fans created a Hatsune Miku concert in the clouds and a fan made a smaller scale projection of Hatsune Miku on fog created by a humidifier.
