More Than One Person Has Tried Recreating Street Fighter II's Car-Destroying Bonus Stage in Real Life
posted on by Bamboo Dong
A video posted back in November has been making the rounds again, featuring a man who calls himself "Paul 'The Kicking Machine' Wordsworth" dressed as Street Fighter II's Ryu and re-enacting the bonus car stage that pops up during arcade mode where the player gets to smash up a car.
It's difficult to tell how comedic it's intended to be, but even if the answer is, "not at all," it's hard not to chuckle. As one might expect, wrecking a car with your hands and feet is apparently way harder in real life than in a video game.
Surprisingly, when you search for videos of people punching cars, other results pop up, too, including this video posted a couple weeks ago from a Japanese television program:
And this one of a Ryu body-slamming an old car at a junkyard and then setting it on fire:
Here's multiple characters taking out their rage at some junkyard cars as part of a bit on a Brazilian comedy show. Ouch:
A reason not to leave your car unattended:
Just some food for thought for the next time you need to scrap a vehicle.
