In Japan, M. Bison is Vega, Vega is Balrog, and Balrog is Bison. Due to concerns that Mike Tyson would sue Capcom over a boxer with a similar name to him, the names were changed in the U.S. But, despite subs which support Capcom's name-changes, the characters are addressed by their Japanese names in the Japanese language track.
A couple of times Akuma from Steet Fighter Alpha appears in the background, in particular on airports.
Unlike the anime, Ryu did not learn the hadoken from Dhalsim in the videogame.
For reasons unknown, Manga Entertainment changed the opening and closing themes for the American release of this anime, The Japanese versions are a lot better. Episodes 1-19 had one and 20-29 had another
