Oh, man. Mami's final live concert is going to be awesome. As a fan, it sucks that she's retiring.

Damn it. No Index III in sight, too. FUUUUUU!

People online made it seem like she's retiring, I guess she will still write and sing.

Who ever composes her songs deserves praise cause she and maon kurosaki have the hottest instrumentals.

Although Mami Kawada has been singing for over ten years, I wasn't expecting her to finish her singing career so suddenly, having contributed well to Lisani, Animax Musix and Animelo Summer Live shows.

I hope that she will be happy in whatever she does next.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Now Index 3 won't even have a great new OP (let alone episodes, hue) ;___;

Well, at least I got to enjoy her wonderful songs while she still sang. Here's to you, Mami Kawada.

Wow, this is so sad and surprising. Mami Kawada was an amazing performer who's music I always enjoyed listening too and her songs were always attached to some great anime. I'll never forget when I first heard her with "Hishoku no Sora" and how much that song really left an impact on me. It'll be sad not being able to hear her on vocals again Sad .

And yeah, knowing that, even if we do get Index III, we won't have Mami Kawada doing the openings is also pretty sad Crying or Very sad .

Still I wish her the best in life past her music career and want to thank her for the great work she's done Smile .

HORRIBLE news to wake up to. Absolutely one of my favorite singers ever. Aside from singing, of course her other works are awesome and I'm sure she'll continue doing lyrics and such but her voice is just so unique. Ray is the only one I can really compare to her but it's not the same Sad

That's a bit disappointing, she's done some great songs.

For me, she's one of the most consistently good artists. On my own ratings, like 95% of her songs have been Awesome to AMAZING. Including her non-anime songs. I really am heartbroken seeing this news.

Well, this is a shame. She's done quite a few great songs over the years, and it'll bad sad to not get anymore.

But aside from the sad fact that this means that we'll stop getting new stuff from here, I hope that it doesn't mean that her old stuff starts disappearing. I'm forever behind with my CD collection and am still missing some of hers. And it seems like jpop/anime CDs aren't all that great at staying in print in the first place. Sad

Yeah, this sucks, I hope nothing bad happened to her. I wish her luck with whatever she does (maybe composing/writing lyrics like Kotoko does). Ray, Maon and Kotoko are still around, but no Mami is going to sting. And man, that concert lineup is godly. fripside alone is amazing, but with all the others? Epic.

Sad news indeed. Looks a little bit too young to be retiring, so perhaps she has other interests she wants to pursue.

A bit surprised that Ms. Kawada-san is retiring seemingly so early. Oh well, all good things must come to an end sometime, no? I had fun with her singing of The Crimson Sky and No Buts.
