Classified, eh?

That's what I like to interpret as 'Announcement Coming Soon." Razz

The Eureka Seven movie: Why such a wordy subtitle? "Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers"? Why didn't they just use the "Pocket Full of Rainbows" subtitle instead? It's two less words!

"Pocketful of Rainbows" is an Elvis Presley song. I'm pretty sure they didn't want to deal with any possible legal implications.

God, what a waste of time. When over 57% of your show is the same episode with different angles, it's still a piece of crap no matter how well the other ones are. The only way to solve that would be to put all the desirable episodes in one package, and the endless 8 in another.

At the rate Bandai is going there may not even be a dub

I mean Hayate and Lucky Star's OVA did not get dubs, and there's not any thing in the works for them other then sub only releases

We may only get a sub copy! Better yet they may market it as 7 eps in a disk like there doing for Hayate. Save us all some money doing it :3

the Eureka seven movie is something I shall shell out $10 for a ticket to go see at the movies. Good thing the Imax near me shows anime movies

I thought they said Hayate was 50 eps, but I'm not sure that's what I heard. If that's the case, they are going for a modified release from the old 10 dvds for Gundam. Even though we're getting Code Geass in 6 sets, the 50 eps are on 12 dvds

And yes, someone DID ask about why the sub-only releases & they said in the current environment only titles that appear to have potential tv airings are getting dubs.
They were passing out t-shirts for questions so I sort of suspected some of the questions were to get a shirt such as the question about any new Gundam. There's not a lot of old Gundam that hasn't made it over & last I heard there was no new Gundam since 00 out yet so there is no new Gundam product for the American side to license.

Holy cow, that narrows it down to...practically nothing. Confused

I'm not buying a subbed-only season of Haruhi. I'll buy a new dubbed season in a heartbeat.

Hear that, Bandai? Or are you already on the terminal inward spiral?

I'm sure you have them terrified.

I'm hoping that they do market the Endless 8 as one DVD. However, with the chronological aspect, it'd make more sense to do a re-release of the first season with the new second season intertwined in one package, so the episodes would continue seamlessly.

Yea, pretty much what I thought when I read that.

That would make sense and is perhaps the reason why Haruhi hasn't had a Legends set released. I guess it's a good thing I've held off on Haruhi DVDs. Although, I've held off mostly because the LE sets are quite expensive and the only reason I'm getting those is because they have the extra disc with the other order on them.

Well, Haruhi does have the complete collection. And the new episodes take place between DVD 2 and 3 and then between 3 and 4, which seems like a weird coincidence.

Why is this company so averse to releasing box sets?

Sub-only release on some titles? Fine, I'll bite my lower lip. But I'll be waiting on Gurren Lagann, Lucky Star/OVA, Code Geass, Hayate, Kannagi and pretty much anything else that isn't sola or true tears (which I will be getting) to be fully released (like Kannagi) or to be in box set form (like Hayate, in which it would be pointless to collect in its current format). I mean, we're only just now getting the anime legends line for Ghost in the Shell and Eureka Seven. That was a damn long time coming.

I hope I'm not the only one still wondering about the Gundam Z movies that were licensed back in 2004. I would love to see the day that these get their actual release, but considering the economic climate it probably won't be anytime soon. Can anybody shed some light on this?
