I'm glad to hear that this story is nearing its completion and was in no way cancelled. I loved the anime when it came out (and despised the Drama when the anime ended). I eventually forgot it with time, as it seems most did, but somewhere down the line, I remembered it, and rediscovering it made my fondness for it grow even more. I hope Ayumi Ishii was able to create the story he wanted to create, as I enjoyed what little I was able to watch of it (hopefully as scans keep updated I might be able to fully enjoy reading it). This is my #1 most underrated anime of all time, my favourite interpretation of the Nobunaga, and I hold always a special place for it, thank you for your hard work. If you excuse me, I'll go cry to the anime OST now.

She, Ishii is a woman. Wink Also, yeah, it was absolutely in no way cancelled, I think it even went on for a bit longer than it should have (it had been spinning its wheels for quite a few volumes there, but it's been back on track since it entered the endgame phase) so I'm fairly certain that Ishii is giving it the end she had planned to. And going by what's been going on in the manga recently it's going to be fairly heartbreaking (live action fans who only know Mitsuhide as a mustache-twirling petty villain would be so confused if they ever read the manga, haha).

This is one of my favorite Nobunaga interpretations as well, and also perhaps my favorite Mitsuhide interpretation as well - for what it's worth, considering the well-known twist in the story. I love this manga so much, it's so good, such a good read. And I really loved the anime as well, it had such a great approach (yes, the faces were a bit wonky sometimes, who cares), and it looked and sounded so good - it was clearly a work of love and effort, not just a quick assembly-line product with barely any creativity and creator interest going into it (hello, Requiem of the Rose King). I think I'm going to listen to the soundtrack now, too...

I've always heard high praise for Nobunaga Concerto as one of the better Nobunaga anime out there and I've always been curious to check it out. I'm glad the mangaka is able to end the story the way she wants to. It would be nice if someone were to license the manga as I doubt they'll ever continue the anime.
