Just as with Death Note, their ending another series before the planned anime adaptation can even begin eh? I only read volumes 1-5 for this and didn't care much for it a while back but I'm thinking about giving it another go when I'm the mood for something that's a bit (or a lot) on the edgy side, at least for the pretty art if nothing else.

As economically unfeasible as it is, I wish most anime would start near the end of the manga. No filler, and less continuity errors from anime writers trying to figure out what the author is doing.

I've lost interest in this series over time. Probably will delete it from my Kindle. The art was good, but I guess the writing just didn't keep me interested.

Series ended yesterday

spoiler[In some ways I liked the ending, but in more ways I hated it. After the last few months wrapping up the main conflict and easing everybody into seemingly happy endings, all life gets wiped off the planet. The end. It's honestly pretty fitting for a series that often pretended like it was this deep, big-brain philosophical saga. It feels like a big middle finger from Ohba/Obata towards anyone remotely invested in the story. There's also a two-page spread of Nakaumi(as "God") watching human suffering and violence across the Earth, and consists almost entirely of non-Japanese/POC. So that's nice. All of this really hampers my interest in the upcoming Anime. ]
